Role of General Operative
The General Operative will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, working alongside skilled operatives to achieve our goals. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting a wide variety of tasks, such as line operation, packing, cleaning, distribution etc., lifting weights of at least 15kgs, standing for 4+ hours, and moving around the factory floor without assistance.
* Being familiar with the daily production plan and working as part of the team to set up the line, complete checks, and ensure materials are ready to use.
* Reporting all breakages, damages, or defaults of equipment to the Line Supervisor, ensuring all machinery is only used when it is safe to use.
* Ensuring that the product is of the highest standard and reporting any issues to the Line supervisor immediately.
* Co-operating with all company training and ensuring satisfaction with all aspects of the area and role they are working in.
* Reporting any accidents or near misses and assisting with any investigation as per the Company's safety policy.
* Participating fully in Lean Manufacturing processes and embracing new methods of working.
Requirements

* Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
* A good health status, indicating a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
