Job Summary
A detail-oriented Accounts Administrator is required to support the finance team in a dynamic environment. The role offers an opportunity to work on financial operations and ensure smooth day-to-day account management.
Responsibilities & Duties
* Prepare and file VAT and RCT returns with precision and efficiency.
* Maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations.
* Manage sales invoicing, customer statements, and overdue account follow-ups.
* Process customers' receipts accurately.
* Process and file purchase and expense invoices efficiently.
* Support monthly payment run process effectively.
* Investigate and resolve supplier queries promptly.
* Maintain up-to-date Creditors ledger to supplier statements.
* Process weekly bank transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
* Support annual financial audit as needed.
* Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by the business.
Ideal Candidate
* An Accounting technician qualification is advantageous.
* A strong background in a similar role within the SME sector is preferred.
* VAT & RCT compliance experience is essential for this position.
* Prior experience in property/construction industry is desirable.
* The ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately is crucial.
* An organised, efficient, and confident personality is required.
* The ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines is essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills are necessary.
