Role Overview
This is a challenging yet rewarding role as the Social Care Manager for a Centre supporting 16 to 17-year-old children seeking international protection. The position involves leading a team and ensuring that centre procedures are followed in accordance with National Standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading a team of social care professionals, promoting their practice and adherence to centre procedures and national standards.
* Ensuring the rights and responsibilities of each child are promoted and respected within the centre.
* Engaging in policy reviews as part of the policy review group.
* Implementing policies and procedures related to budgets, health and safety, team supervision, training, and recruitment.
* Developing and implementing strategies to address challenges and improve outcomes for children in the centre's care.
Requirements
* Level 7 or 8 qualification in Applied Social Care.
* Either currently holding or enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification.
* 4 years of full-time work experience in a children's residential care setting post-qualification.
* Full driving licence and access to a car.
