Job Description: General Warehouse Operative

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established company in the construction sector, is seeking a motivated and reliable General Warehouse Operative to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for warehouse operations to grow within a progressive organisation.
As a General Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. You will need a Counterbalance Forklift license and experience. You will work as part of a team to ensure efficient and safe handling of products while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.
Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Ireland to be considered for this position.
Working hours : Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm, Fridays 8am – 4pm (1 hour for lunch).
Holidays : 21 days + Bank Holidays
Salary : €30-35k DOE, paid monthly
6 months probationary period
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Goods: Unloading deliveries, checking for damage, and ensuring all items are correctly stored.
Picking and Packing Orders: Preparing and packing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Stock Control: Assisting in stock management, performing inventory counts, and maintaining accurate records.
Maintaining a Clean and Organised Warehouse: Ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy and organised, with products stored safely and efficiently.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Assisting with General Warehouse Duties: Including labelling, loading, and unloading, operating forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
Basic IT skills are an advantage but not required.
Forklift certification.
Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting as part of daily duties.
Manual Handling certification.
Must have good English language communication skills.
