This is an exceptional opportunity for a newly qualified or Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to develop skills in both Paediatric and Adult care while making a real difference in peoples lives. What to expect: Varied Caseload, working with both children and adults in a dynamic Primary Care setting. Gain hands-on experience in diverse interventions, from child development support to adult rehabilitation. Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend or on-call commitments. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers. Support & Development: Access CPD funding, clinical supervision, and mentoring to advance your career. Help children reach developmental milestones and support adults in regaining independence. Your Role: As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering tailored therapy interventions to both children and adults. You will work within a community setting, supporting clients to achieve their maximum independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Paediatric Caseload (50%) Assess and treat children with developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, coordination issues, and other functional challenges. Provide early intervention strategies and collaborate with parents, schools, and caregivers to support childrens development. Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to improve fine motor skills, handwriting, play skills, and daily activities. Adult Caseload (50%) Support adults with neurological conditions, mobility challenges, cognitive impairments, and age-related functional difficulties. Provide rehabilitation, functional re-training, falls prevention, and self-care reablement. Conduct home and environmental assessments to recommend assistive technology, complex seating, and adaptations. Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred, evidence-based therapy interventions. Maintain clinical documentation and contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Engage in regular supervision, training, and professional development opportunities. What You Need: Hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy & be registered with CORU. Experience (or placements) in either paediatrics, adults, or both within a primary care/community setting. Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with both children and adults. Have good organisational skills Have excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment. Full clean driving licence and access to own transport is an advantage.
