Friday Responsibilities:
The Nurse Specialist will: Support to patients discharged with a stoma from the assigned hospitals and surrounding area in support of the Acute based teams Deliver specialist intermittent self-catheterisation to patients Meeting patients in assigned hospitals to provide stoma care and ISC support Provide safe, effective and specialist nursing care, information and advice to patients and their relatives Teach and support other nursing and non-nursing staff and carers as required Provide specialist clinical advice on the safe provision of a stoma care nursing service and ISC Foster good communication links and co-operation between GPs, Community Nurses, Ward Managers and other disciplines / departments Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into appropriate patient record keeping systems that meet the requirements of data protection and ensure that company liability is within current regulation Support the introduction of new products and provide opportunities for end users to review Participate in discussion and the operation of research programmes affecting patients and the service Work with Company Nurse Manager to set annual clinical objectives and track regularly to ensure timely completion
Person Specification:
