Your Role: As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the catering area, dining room, and team members. You will ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the catering team and dining area operations.
* Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Fire, HACCP, and Infection Control in the catering area.
* Oversee the ordering, receiving, and safe storage of food supplies.
* Prepare and cook wholesome, high-quality meals and home baking while introducing creative menu options.
* Ensure menus are nutritionally balanced and meet residents' individual dietary needs.
* Follow Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) guidelines and best practices for elderly nutrition.
* Manage food budgets effectively through cost control and menu planning.
* Provide outstanding service in dining rooms, living areas, and residents’ rooms.
* Foster a respectful and positive environment for residents and team members.
* Support management during internal and external audits and inspections.
* Be available to work various shifts, including weekends, as required.
What We’re Looking For
* A Cook or Chef Qualification from a recognised catering school or equivalent supervised cooking experience.
* Valid Food Handling, HACCP, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults certificates (training can be provided if needed).
* Experience in preparing nutritious and high-quality food for older people.
* Previous experience in a residential care home (desirable but not essential).
* Strong commitment to health and safety procedures.
* A positive, caring attitude with a passion for providing excellent meals to residents.
