Aim of the Position
The Commercial Catering Manager will oversee the commercial performance of our suite of restaurants, ensuring that financial targets are met and exceeded.
This role involves monitoring commercial impacts on a weekly and monthly basis, reporting results to the directors, and implementing systems to enhance performance across all locations.
Key Responsibilities & Leadership
1. Commercial Performance Monitoring - Analyze weekly and monthly financial data to assess commercial impact.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for directors detailing performance metrics and trends
- Present monthly results and strategic insights to the directors, highlighting areas for improvement and growth.
2. Reporting - Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Represents the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, client, and employee interactions.
- Communicates with the Client honestly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
3. Systems Implementation - Develop and implement operational systems and processes aimed at improving financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement across all restaurants.
4. Commercial Management - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the catering division.
- Work closely with procurement to ensure cost-effective purchasing and inventory management.
5. Front of House Management - Ensure exceptional front-of-house service standards are maintained across all locations.
- Train and mentor front-of-house staff to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
6. Food Management - Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure menu offerings meet market demand and align with financial goals.
- Monitor food costs and waste management practices to optimize profitability.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Commercial Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field, with a focus on food and beverage.
* 7+ years Proven experience in a commercial management role within the catering or hospitality industry.
* 5 years Multi-site experience is essential.
