We are curnetly recruiting for a Plumber to join our Mechanical Projects Division in Dublin on a full time, permanent contract.
The successful applicant will be predominantly based in the Munster Region, with a particular emphasis on the Limerick and Cork areas.
The successful applicant will be assigned to various public sector and commercial projects.Key TasksRequired to conduct mechanical installations, gas welding, soldering, brazing and all associated mechanical plant.Involved in both the installation and maintenance of hot and cold water systems in domestic and commercial buildings, sanitation, drainage and heating systems, electronic controllers, theory and practiceAssist with the training of apprentices and continue to mentor and develop sameAbility to effectively read drawings and design specifications in accordance with the requirements of a projectReview design process to ensure that installations are fit for purposeYou will be required to identify materials required for site, and liaise with the Procurement Department regarding sameCo-ordination of delivery of materials to site, when required, including checking quantity and quality of deliveries and taking full responsibility for sameLiaise with foreman, main contractors and other trades personnel as and when requiredWill be required to have a full and thorough understanding of Health & Safety and Quality Procedures associated with all aspects of the jobCapable of taking instruction from Foreman and/or Senior Management and ensure all project deadlines/milestones are achieved on or ahead of scheduleAnalyses and quickly resolves any work problems that may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely mannerOther ad hoc duties as assigned by site managementSupport the Project Manager in promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establishing exceptional working relationships with your colleagues and the client/sAct as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansionAny other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the businessSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDQQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate (or equivalent) in PlumbingSOLAS Safe Pass and a Manual Handling certificateA minimum of 4 years' experience in a fast paced commercial environmentUnderstanding of construction documentation an advantageProblem-solving - to take controlled / real time approach to problems and solving themConscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitaskMotivated self-starter, who can work both independently or as part of a teamCapable of prioritising tasks whilst possessing the ability to work under pressureExcellent communication skills, with fluent English
