About the Role
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will report directly to the Group Engineering Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively manage engineering projects across the group, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion. This may involve providing on-site support to our Irish and UK sites as needed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver various Engineering projects while keeping all stakeholders informed of project progress and any arising issues.
* Work closely with stakeholders to resolve engineering problems by collecting information, researching, analyzing, recommending solutions, creating drawings, schematics, and diagrams, evaluating components, materials, and suppliers, developing specifications and safety standards, assessing new equipment and techniques, and overseeing installations.
* Organize and coordinate suitable internal teams and third-party labor for the execution of projects to a high standard, ensuring all parties adhere to the overall project plan throughout the project lifecycle.
* Maintain project team accomplishments by communicating essential information, coordinating actions, obtaining expert input, reviewing open issues and action items, contributing to team meetings and reports.
* Collaborate with various sites within the group to ensure projects are implemented efficiently, with minimal disruption to production.
* Sourcing parts, liaising with suppliers, following up on part deliveries, and overseeing incoming parts as soon as they are delivered.
* Assisting with engineering budgeting and cost analysis.
Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Project Management experience.
* Several years of industry experience in a similar role.
* A sound mechanical and electrical knowledge of equipment and processes.
* Previous experience in water treatment or automation is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to analyze situations and troubleshoot/problem solve as required.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* A high level of technical ability.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Competent in the use of technology with good IT skills, Excel, and AutoCAD are essential.
* Organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
* An enthusiastic and flexible team player with high expectations of self and others.
* Able to work under pressure and on own initiative.
* Constantly striving to enhance and improve existing processes to add value.
* Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly and positively to change.
* A willingness to travel when required.
