MLC Student Language Programmes provides travel experiences for European students visiting Ireland. Our students are juniors, often from France, Spain, Italy or Germany, who stay with host families all across Ireland, and select from a variety of summer activity camps or academic year programmes. The main purposes of their stay in Ireland are to improve their level of English and to have a fun experience.
Why MLC?
We are an established yet dynamic company that takes pride in offering our employees a professional and progressive place to work. We have an excellent reputation within the industry and are a market leader. From our team we expect hard work and energy and in return we try to make coming to work as rewarding an experience as possible!
At the moment we have a rare opportunity to join our Longford-based team, and are looking for a motivated, ambitious individual for what is best described as an ‘Account Management’ role within the Academic division of the company.
The Role
Client account management for European travel companies who book our high school programmes in Ireland for their students. This is achieved via:
* Regular communication with European clients (travel companies) to provide options for students wishing to spend an academic year in Ireland.
* Building relationships with these clients to grow their bookings.
* Visits to Irish schools with European agents during visits.
* Growing the network of schools with whom we place students.
* European travel on occasion for networking events and client visits.
* Working with colleagues to ensure they provide the best possible service to your clients through:
* Selecting the most appropriate school for each student, based on their individual criteria, and managing their school enrolment in schools across Ireland.
* Finding the best matched host family in which to place each student, and having conversations with many host families to make the perfect placement for both student and host family.
* Responsibility for supporting students and offering guidance and advice to host families during the programme.
* Overall administrative management of student visits which are carried out by local coordinators throughout the year.
* Ensuring timely collection and submission of year-end documentation from schools and on to European partners to allow students to re-enter the education system in their native country.
* Working closely with other internal departments.
The Person
* A professional with the ability to effectively build relationships. A large portion of the role involves communication with European partners, school principals, students, and host families.
* Perhaps someone with a background in education.
* A motivated person who can effectively manage their own time and workload.
