Senior Technical Enterprise Architect

Job Description
A leading IT organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Enterprise Architect with a strong background in the Azure and Microsoft technology stack. This role will be responsible for defining and delivering enterprise-wide architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies aligned with business goals.
* Design cloud-based solutions within the Azure ecosystem, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
* Provide architectural leadership across multiple IT projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and governance frameworks.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and digital transformation strategies.
* Lead enterprise-wide system integrations and ensure seamless communication between applications.
* Maintain oversight of infrastructure, applications, and data architecture to optimise performance and resilience.
* Conduct architectural reviews, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive innovation across the organisation.
* Mentor and support technical teams in implementing architectural principles and best practices.
Experience Required
* 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technical leadership, or solution architecture roles.
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including cloud-native solutions, infrastructure as code, and platform services.
* Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Azure DevOps, .NET, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 services.
* Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale enterprise IT solutions.
* Experience working with modern architectural frameworks such as TOGAF.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks related to cloud architecture.
* Experience with containerisation and microservices (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
* Exposure to AI/ML, automation, and emerging cloud technologies.
* Background in IT governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Educational Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or ITIL are highly desirable.
