Civil Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Our Client, the leading Maintenance contractor for Motorways and National Roads in Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations, and managing packages of works with direct labour and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee site setting-out and supervision.
* Plan and coordinate teams, subcontractors, and resources.
* Prepare project proposals and budget estimates.
* Develop strong relationships with Local Authorities, TII Representatives, and key stakeholders.
* Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Manage documentation, reports, and compliance records.
* Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain quality control.
* Represent the company at stakeholder meetings and client engagements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or related field.
* Experience in Civil Engineering, Road Maintenance, or Highways Projects.
* Knowledge of TII Standards, Traffic Management, and Infrastructure Regulations.
* Strong project management and budgeting skills.
* Excellent communication, planning, and reporting abilities.
* IT proficiency and a full driving license.
