As a Classroom Teacher with the Northern Territory Department of Education and Training you will play a vital role in empowering young minds to reach their full potential.
We are responsible for delivering high quality public education to over 34,000 students across 153 schools. Our diverse student population includes over 14,000 Aboriginal students, and 49% of all students have a language background other than English. Our schools span across six regions: Darwin, Top End, Big Rivers, East Arnhem, Barkly and Central.

* An attractive salary commencing from $92,215 - $131,349 (based on your years of classroom teaching experience).

What you’ll be doing:
* Plan, prepare and explicitly deliver quality and effective teaching and learning programs which are consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and relevant curriculum policies, work programs and educational trends.
* Support students through interaction in a variety of settings and through the active development of supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices.
* Provide for the physical, social, cultural and emotional well-being and safety of students whilst at school.
* Regularly assess students (diagnostic, formative and summative) for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes.
* Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, the department and other stakeholders as required.
* Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school, parents and community.
What we’re looking for:
* You must hold/be able to obtain full Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (TRB), a working VISA and a current NT Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card) prior to commencement.
