Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, Dublin
As a Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you will have a pivotal role in shaping the future of the current project and overseeing the project schedule. The role will include all aspects of Quantity Surveying both pre and post contract across a variety of sectors. The successful candidate will be equally capable of working independently or as part of a larger team and will report directly to the Commercial Manager.
Pre-Contract responsibilities would include:
1. Assisting in tendering procedures and contract arrangements
2. Prepare pricing documents for tender packages
3. Providing advice on tendering procedures
4. Draft instructions to tenderer's
5. Development of tender evaluation criteria
6. Commercial evaluation of all tender submissions
7. Negotiation with tenderer's
Post Contract duties would include:
1. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and responsible for commercial aspects on the project.
2. Preparation of Interim Valuations.
3. Preparation of monthly Cost Reporting.
4. Client and Contractor meetings.
5. Negotiation and agreement of Variations.
6. Review and assessment of Contract Claims.
7. Agreement of Final Accounts
Qualifications:
1. Quantity Surveying degree
2. Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others.
3. Experience in the Construction Industry.
4. Must be commercially aware, flexible and have ambition to progress within the organisation.
5. Drive and determination to manage strict budgets to ensure the commercial success of the project.
6. Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
