Job Title: mRNA Technology Associate Scientist
This is an onsite role for an 11 month Fixed Term Contract at Pfizer's state of the art plant in Dublin, Grange Castle.
Job Purpose:
As an Associate Scientist, you will be at the centre of our operations and will provide science and technology expertise in the disciplines of RNA technology for the development and optimization of RNA manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide science and technology expertise in RNA technology for the development and optimization of RNA manufacturing processes.
* Help develop new and improved processes used in the research and development of drugs.
* Apply knowledge of principles, concepts, and practices of RNA technology.
* Be proactive in contributing to all team discussions and creating an environment of collaboration.
Requirements:
* BEng / BSc / MSc / PhD in Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering / Biochemical Engineering / Chemistry or other related disciplines.
* 0-3 years of directly relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong process and computer skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Technical fields of experience including mammalian cell technology, biochemistry, cell biology, microbial fermentation, genetics, fluid mechanics, process modelling.
* Experience in designing and executing components of experimental programs in the laboratory.
* Familiar with problem-solving, risk analysis and statistical tools.
* Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, plan and carry out experiments independently, and work with complex instrumentation and software.
