My client, a leading distributor based in North Wicklow, is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Operations Specialist to join their growing Operations Team. With a projected growth rate of 10% year on year, the company is expanding rapidly.

Location: Wicklow
Job Type: Office based, Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (1-hour lunch)
Hybrid Working: After 6 months, 2 days WFH per week (company policy)
Role Overview
As a Warehouse and Logistics Operations Specialist, you will manage transport and warehouse operations, focusing on haulier relationships, cost control, and compliance. You’ll develop and manage SLAs, negotiate pricing, and handle issues like damages and non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities
* Warehouse Management:
* Manage relationships with third-party warehouses across multiple regions.
* Ensure the accurate processing of purchase orders and direct-to-customer shipments.
* Monitor and enforce SLAs to maintain service standards and track performance.
* Perform regular stock reconciliations and physical inventory checks.
* Identify and implement warehouse efficiency improvements.
Transport Management:
* Oversee transport operations, focusing on cost control and operational efficiency.
* Develop strategies to reduce transport costs and improve haulier performance.
* Manage relationships with hauliers, ensuring they meet required standards and negotiating the best terms.
* Set up, monitor, and review SLAs with hauliers, ensuring alignment with business needs.
* Update and maintain the EU Rate Card for transparent pricing and cost tracking.
* Regularly assess the performance of hauliers to ensure they meet agreed service levels.
* Address performance issues and escalate when necessary to ensure continuity of service.
* Develop partnerships with hauliers to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
Compliance & Documentation:
* Ensure proper handling of hazardous products in line with regulations.
* Manage all transport-related documentation (invoices, CoAs, regulatory papers).
* Address issues related to non-conformances, damages, and delays.
* Ensure compliance with REACH and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements.
Service Provider Management:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers to ensure reliable, cost-effective service.
* Develop and monitor KPIs to assess service provider performance and satisfaction.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in managing transport and warehouse operations, particularly with hauliers.
* Strong knowledge of hazardous product handling and logistics regulations.
* Experience in negotiating SLAs and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost-effective solutions.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (experience with Sage or similar systems is a plus).
Salary & Benefits:
* €42,000 - €45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
