Overview The Senior Software Engineer develops, implements, configures and documents software programs used by Data Engineers in the development of data management solutions. This role also involves providing the technical solutions to meet specifications and business requirements defined by company objectives to promote effective, efficient, and compliant operations. Responsibilities Key responsibilities of this role are as following: Colloborate with colleagues within a continuous improvement team to ameliorate gaps or inefficiencies with the data management team. Develop, implement and support a suite of solutions to support data engineering and other data management groups. Configure off-the -shelf solutions for the same purpose Develop and maintain documentation and training artefacts for these solutions Additional responsibilities are as follows: Work as part of a project team to define and document the solutions for a variety of software development projects Technical responsibility for all stages of software development process to ensure compliance with software development standards, architectural standards, and achievement of documented requirements Develop and maintain current state documentation and deliverables for solutions Maintain existing and new software systems to ensure that systems continue to meet user needs Provide assistance to operational teams to ensure continuity of service. Work with the Software Engineering community of practice to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations Performs work independently. Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities Considered a high-level specialist who regularly interacts and works with senior management. Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other related degree; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background 8 or more years of experience Experience with software development on the Microsfoft Azure Data stack (synapse analytics, Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Purview) Senior development experience at least two of .NET with C#, SSIS, BIML, Microsoft SQL server, PowerShell andn PowerApps Experience with API led connectivity methodology About Cook Limerick Cook Medical has been in Limerick since 1996, starting out with labeling and distribution and steadily growing and evolving to include manufacturing, centralised customer support and on to collaborative product development in the Innovation Centre.
