Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to provide administrative support to the ophthalmology service with responsibility for wait listing, scheduling, clinic preparation and out coming, as well as effective management of queries from clinicians and the public.
The post holder will be involved in initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at increasing capacity of the service and required to fulfil other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Team Lead.
Essential Criteria Achieved leaving certificate or its equivalent. At least 3 years of previous relevant administrative experience. Evidence of customer service skills/ experience Experience of working as part of a team. Experience of a busy fast paced working environment Attention to detail. Experience of dictaphone / touch typing (or commitment to develop skills as typing is required for this role Excellent IT skills. Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organisational skills.
