EHS Engineer - Pharma

Contract Type: 12-Month Contract
Job Summary
The EHS Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety are maintained throughout the pharmaceutical facility.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety in an ever-changing business environment.
* Foster a positive culture of continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all statutory Employment and EHS related legislation, Corporate Technical Standards, and Policies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and develop systems and procedures that optimize the safety, health, and environmental performance of the Site.
* Manage contractor safety performance KPIs.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent, or a degree in a related discipline.
* 2-3 years of relevant experience.
* Certification as an Internal Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditor (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
* Ability to provide direction and support to the site in meeting the requirements of the Global EHS Management and Technical Standards, ISO, and other external regulations.
* Experience with maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Certification.
* Liaise with Managers to ensure employees are trained to a defined competency standard with all applicable EHS policies and procedures.
* Perform risk assessments throughout the plant and oversee and monitor training on risk assessments.
