About the Position
Reporting to the Procurement Director, the Purchasing Manager will plan, regulate, and monitor the buying and sourcing process across all categories for their functions across Ireland, Europe, and the rest of the world.
The role focuses on managing efficiency improvements and strategic sourcing methodologies in the purchasing process, working closely with all departments to identify process improvement and cost management saving opportunities.
* Manage vendor selection and strategic sourcing
* Negotiate with vendors/suppliers to ensure best practice supply
* Develop a stringent rebate management function
* Ensure cost management adherence across the company
* Monitor ERP system for billing and invoicing
* Manage supply chain risk and improve sustainability
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A minimum of 5 years procurement experience
* Experience working in global markets, particularly in China
* Strategic thinking and planning skills
* Strong negotiating skills
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
