Legal Director Job Description
The Legal Director will play a critical role in supporting the General Counsel and driving the firm's strategic ambitions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support the General Counsel on key strategic growth projects and commercial contract management duties.
* Advise stakeholders on matters to ensure a coordinated response to legal challenges for key projects and contracts.
* Facilitate the implementation of appropriate legal strategy, including standardization and streamlining of legal review processes.
* Develop and manage the legal function, driving capability, capacity, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Identify legal risk and suggest alternative strategies for optimal business solutions.
Key Requirements:
* At least 10+ years post-qualification experience in law or in-house with senior-level responsibilities.
* Qualified Solicitor with a law degree or equivalent overseas professional legal qualification.
* Strong experience in private practice and/or in-house in various disciplines, including corporate, financial regulation, employment, pensions, property, and banking and finance.
* Familiarity with the Irish regulatory framework and the financial services industry is preferred.
* Ability to assess legal, practical, and business risks and present advice to non-legal leadership personnel.
