As a Group Tax Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the Bank remains compliant with its tax obligations. Responsibilities will include preparing and/or reviewing tax returns, preparing/reviewing tax workings for monthly/annual/regulatory reporting, providing technical tax advice to business units/on specific projects, and interacting with other stakeholders on tax related issues. Responsibilities: Support the Group Tax manager in the preparation, co-ordination and review of key tax returns (e.g. VAT, DIRT, Stamp Duty, Corporation Tax) and related payments. Support the Group Tax team to ensure all internal and external deadlines are met and all tax issues are dealt with in a timely, efficient and appropriate manner. Provide support and tax technical advice to business units throughout the Group. Provision of support to the Property Management team on property specific tax queries as and when these arise i.e. CGT/VAT on sales of repossessed properties. Calculation of taxes due under Section 96(3) TCA 1997 (tax due on rental income for PiPs and Receiver properties). Essential Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and/or CTA qualified. Minimum 4 years? experience working in a tax environment in practice/industry. Excellent written communications skills with the capacity to articulate complicated information in a clear and concise manner. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word. This is a 12-month fixed term position based in Dublin. (Hybrid options available) Is this you?
