Main Purpose of Role
As a skilled analytical professional, you will be responsible for testing pharmaceutical substances and raw materials in a GMP environment. Your main focus will be on GC and HPLC analysis, along with other advanced techniques.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will receive comprehensive training from SGS and clients on relevant analytical techniques.
2. In addition to your core duties, you may be required to train other analysts where qualified.
3. You will carry out testing in accordance with valid procedures and regulatory requirements.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance, and perform calibrations at designated frequencies.
5. Effectively manage inventory and track the status of materials required for analysis.
6. Once qualified, you will verify and review results generated by other analysts to ensure compliance with requirements.
7. Ensure accurate data entry into Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
8. Analyze test results and close out batch analysis in a timely manner.
9. Meet all target deadlines, update visibility tools, and communicate testing status at meetings.
10. Maintain laboratories to the highest standards of housekeeping.
11. Deliver high-quality lab records, achieving Right First Time and On-Time targets.
12. Develop and maintain necessary documentation (SOPs, methods, reports, etc.).
13. Work collaboratively as part of the team to exceed customer expectations and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around investigations, training, productivity, and on-time testing.
14. Notify appropriate contacts and document results and investigations for any atypical or aberrant results.
15. Liaise with team leaders to investigate laboratory deviations and implement corrective actions when necessary.
16. Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring readiness for audits at all times.
17. Pursue opportunities for safety, environmental, quality, and service improvements.
18. Collaborate with your leader to facilitate personal development and career progression.

Qualifications and Experience
* A Science Degree in Chemistry or equivalent (Level 7 minimum).
* At least 2 years of experience in a GMP laboratory setting.
* Data integrity and knowledge of analytical technologies, including HPLC, GC, KF, IR, PSD, Xray, and Wet chemistry.
* A strong team player with flexibility to adapt to evolving needs, excellent customer service skills.
* Demonstrated quality and safety standards.
* Aptitude in laboratory computer systems, including LIMS and Trackwise.
