The AWS Commerce Platform Payments team is looking for talented and passionate software development engineers with strong technical and business systems backgrounds to build new invoicing, payments, and financial reconciliation services and products.
This position involves the development of new software systems and customer-facing features critical to the success of AWS customers' businesses.
As an engineer within the Commerce Platform, you will be part of a high-performing team, interfacing with various teams across AWS, including our Financial and Accounting groups.
You will be responsible for driving the team's technical direction, shaping our long-term vision and architecture, owning major deliverables end-to-end, and providing technical leadership to the engineering team.
Key job responsibilities:
Own design, development, test, deployment, and operation of services that our customers depend on.Contribute to our growth by hiring smart and motivated engineers.Ensure the sanity of architecture, operational excellence, and quality.Work closely with other teams across AWS and Amazon.Protect customer information, maintain low latencies, and simplify enterprise scale commerce complexity.Mentor interns or less experienced SDEs on the team.Dive into architecture, code, test plans, project plans, deployments, and operations.Represent your business and operations to the highest leadership levels within AWS. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
