Role Profile
We have an opportunity for a Ruminant Business Manager to join our team.
The Business Manager acts as the primary link between Tirln and our farmers and is accountable for the day-to-day relationships with a list of key customers.
The Business Manager is responsible for providing solutions to meet farmer needs including the direct sale of products, referral to retail or eCommerce channels, providing technical support, communicating new schemes and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with a portfolio of farmers to understand their past, present and future feed, fertiliser, Veterinary, Dairy Hygiene or other farm input needs.
* Respond to requests for technical advice and seek specialist input from Technical Development as required.
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve farm profitability, sustainability or milk quality.
* Communicate results of forage and soil analysis (including nutrient management plans) to farmers.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate farm data on CRM including milk supply ambitions, sales, opportunities, complaints etc.
* Process orders for feed, fertiliser, Veterinary/other products, ensure delivery to farmer per agreed SLA.
* Provide input to Technical Development and Marketing on product / service portfolio development.
* Drive farmer adoption of Tirln schemes by communicating scheme details and resolving queries.
* Participate in area & regional representative structures.
* Collaborate with local Branch Managers to provide farmers with optimum services across channels.
* Attend and represent Tirln at relevant customer/farmer facing events.
