Overview
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior DeltaV Automation Engineer to support a state-of-the-art biotechnology facility in Cork. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in DeltaV batch automation, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge pharmaceutical projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and configure DeltaV control modules, equipment modules, phases, and graphics
* Design, configure, and test batch layer functionality in accordance with S88 Batch Standards
* Oversee system integration and validation to ensure compliance with GMP and GAMP guidelines
* Lead and coordinate DeltaV automation activities, ensuring smooth project delivery
* Provide technical leadership and guide junior engineers through design, configuration, and testing phases
* Support commissioning and qualification of new equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment
Operational & Compliance Support:
* Troubleshoot and resolve DeltaV automation issues impacting production
* Execute change controls and ensure system modifications meet regulatory and operational standards
* Provide regular project updates and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Life Sciences
* 5+ years of experience working with DeltaV automation systems in pharma or biotech batch processes
* Strong knowledge of S88 Batch Standard and its application in automated systems
* Hands-on experience in DeltaV batch configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
* Familiarity with GAMP guidelines and GMP regulatory requirements
* Previous experience with commissioning and validation in a life sciences environment
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
* Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
* Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams within a fast-paced environment
