Clinical Tutor / Lecturer - Tropical Medicine
Reporting To: Prof Samuel McConkey, Department of International Health and Tropical Medicine or nominee.
Location: Beaumont Hospital. Contract: 12 months, renewable, full time.

Job Objectives
The principal objective of the post is to participate in the development, direction, teaching, facilitation and examinations of the undergraduate teaching programme.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Contributing to the clinical teaching programme in the junior, intermediate and senior cycle of the four and five year teaching programmes;
* Contributing to the assessment of students in the junior, intermediate and senior cycles of the four and five year programmes.
Requirements
* Possess evidence of registration with the Irish Medical Council;
* Possess a keen interest in lecturing and interacting with undergraduate students;
* Possess excellent communication skills;
* Previous experience using E-learning/VLE systems;
* Previous experience of teaching and assessing students in an academic environment;
* Previous experience in research;
* Completed at least 4 years of clinical experience post-internship;
* MRCPI / MRCSI or equivalent.
