Health and Safety Manager North County Dublin Permanent Osborne are working with our client in North County Dublin for an experienced Health and Safety Managercoming from distribution logistics or warehouse industries. This permanent, full-time management role reports directly to the Operations Director and the Head of Health & Safety. In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance is met to the regulations. This role involves conducting risk assessments, organising safety training, investigations and collaborating with various department. For you: Salary: € DOE It is based 5 days on site Excellent benefits package Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Safety Policies Assess potential hazards and risks within the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees to enhance their awareness and understanding of safety protocols. Lead investigations into workplace incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Regularly inspect and audit facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare employees for emergency situations. Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities, and prepare reports for management review. Work closely with other departments to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and projects. Maintain HSE compliance calendars and ensure required activities occur to maintain overall HSE compliance. Oversee facilities management to ensure a safe working environment. Contribute to Site Management review meetings, attend, and proactively input to site safety meetings. Provide support for the evaluation of training needs and the delivery of training, such as Manual Handling, Safe Systems of Work, and Fork Truck Driving refresher courses. Ensure the site maintains an effective working relationship with enforcement agencies, the local community, and other interested stakeholders, taking any opportunity to enhance these working relationships. Pursue Continual Professional Development in line with departmental performance objectives and act as an HSE Advisor to Site Management. Skills and Experience: 5 years+ experience in Health & Safety and two years in a managerial role. Certificates in NEBOSH, OSHA or IOSH Driving licence required Knowledge of ISO 45001 Experience in Warehouse & distribution would be and advantage Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and best practices Able to challenge and influence at all levels in an objective and constructive manner Possesses effective engagement, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills Strong Analytical, organisation and communication skills and experience leading and motivating a team Ability to identify potential hazards and address them proactively For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Teri Quinn or call Osborne Recruitment on.
