Major Infrastructure Project Manager
The successful candidate will lead and manage the delivery of estate services, including administrative, professional, technical, and project management services. This includes the development and delivery of an agreed programme of work associated with major capital projects and assisting in the development of the infrastructural master plan for the campus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage project plans for each project, ensuring timely completion within the overall strategic plan.
* Manage project teams, monitor progress, and ensure completion of all project tasks and activities.
* Ensure high-quality deliverables and effective communication mechanisms are in place to manage multiple project stakeholders.
* Manage staff, financial, and other resources assigned to the post holder, ensuring implementation of policies and procedures.
Eligibility Criteria:
* A minimum Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) major academic award in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying, accredited by a relevant Professional Institute.
* Full Membership of a relevant professional association (e.g., Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Engineers Ireland, Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland).
* At least eight years' satisfactory experience in planning, design, project management, or construction of buildings, or in the installation or maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and heating services.
* Possess the requisite knowledge and ability to enter on the discharge of the duties of the office.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Technical skills and ability appropriate to the post, including knowledge of building regulations, standards, EU Procurement legislation, and Government construction procurement guidelines.
* Effective project management, planning, and organizing skills, including resource management, value for money, and deadlines.
* Leadership and team management skills, including working with multi-disciplinary team members and motivating, training, and developing staff.
* Excellent communication and public relations skills, including presenting information, facilitating groups, and giving constructive feedback.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, engineering software (e.g., Project Manager, Autocad), and financial systems (e.g., SAP).
This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with 30 days leave per year. The salary is in the region of €96,000, and the contract duration is 2-5 years. Please note that this position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable.
