Raw Material Buyer

Main Responsibilities:
* Purchase of raw materials based on production forecasts, stock levels, and SAP system requirements.
* Balancing supplier capacity and internal inventory levels with requirements to support production forecasts without disruption to the production plan.
* Leading all efforts with suppliers to address product availability issues and ensuring supply constraint issues are resolved or escalated when appropriate.
* Scheduling, managing, and monitoring raw materials deliveries to meet production requirements.
* Working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure high-level internal customer satisfaction is maintained.
* Maintaining accurate item master data and price agreements within the SAP system.
* General administration of all related processes, e.g., purchase orders, order confirmations, and invoicing.
* Maintaining up-to-date purchase order delivery dates for accuracy of information at all times.
* Monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing supplier delivery performance, liaising with suppliers in case of discrepancies.
* Processing claims in relation to order quantity, delivery dates, and packaging in cooperation with Quality Department and Goods Receiving Department.
* Identifying internal and external stakeholder business needs, providing solutions, and minimizing risks.
* Analyzing and optimizing purchasing parameters to reduce inventory levels while maintaining availability of parts.
* Performing other ancillary duties associated with the position.
Requirements:
* 3rd-level qualification in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics is required.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience required in a purchasing role.
* Experience in Engineering/manufacturing environments is a distinct advantage.
* Experience of working with SAP or an equivalent ERP system is a distinct advantage.
* Highly motivated self-starter, dependable, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and well-developed influencing skills, with a proven ability to build, manage, and maintain relationships at all levels.
* Must possess excellent planning, scheduling, negotiating, and organizational skills.
* Proven record of strong attention to detail as well as excellent reporting skills.
* Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, etc.) is essential.
* Advanced skills with formulas, complex financial spreadsheets in MS Excel would be a plus.
