Accounts Assistant €30,000 per year - Full-time Location: Rathnew, Co. Wicklow Shift and Schedule: Monday to Friday Benefits: Employee assistance program Food allowance On-site parking Job Purpose - Overview: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for managing the company's transactional accounting processes, including the Purchase and Sales Ledgers, Supplier Payments, and Customer Receipts. The role involves providing data and analysis to the General Manager, ensuring the leadership team has access to the necessary reports to support decision-making. The Accounts Assistant will also assist with the compilation of monthly and year-end financials and offer general administrative support to the management team. Key Responsibilities: The Accounts Assistant will work closely with the General Manager, who is responsible for finance, and will complete the following tasks: Answer customer calls and enquiries related to transactions, invoices, and payments Receive, check, code, and record invoices Match invoices with purchase orders File, scan, and index invoices to ensure timely payment Support month-end and year-end deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed on time Resolve account queries promptly and efficiently Reconcile monthly accounts and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues to the General Manager as needed Process expenses and claims, ensuring VAT is correct and costs are accurately coded Follow up on Proof of Delivery and work with the Sales Team to ensure all documentation is returned promptly Liaise with the internal management team, warehouse, sales, and suppliers to ensure all accounting processes are understood and correctly completed Structure, prepare, and analyse reports to support leadership team decision-making Complete ad hoc office duties as required to support the business Stakeholder Relationships: Directly reporting to the General Manager, the Accounts Assistant works within a small office team supporting Sales, Warehouse, and Studio The Accounts Assistant will be required to work independently, providing detailed financial information to the leadership team to assist colleagues in making timely decisions Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required: Essential: Experience in transactional finance roles Exceptional organisational and time management skills Confident communication at all levels Highly numerate, with the ability to interpret data for oneself and others Flexible and positive attitude towards work and environment Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies or issues and take action Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Reliable, efficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and results-oriented Proactive with a positive attitude, capable of working both independently and as part of a team Desirable: Experience with SAP and Card Manager Inventory and Finance Systems 1 year of finance or business experience (preferred) Skills: Accounts Assistant Rathnew
