Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator to join our team at Kilcawley Construction. As an M&E Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers in effectively procuring, managing, and handing over mechanical and electrical subcontractor scope on large building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Contracts Manager and Project Managers to deliver mechanical and electrical works on projects with values from €3m to €20m.
* Serve as the first point of contact for M&E sub-contractors and Design Teams on queries.
* Chair and produce minutes for fortnightly MEP Coordination meetings with the M&E contractors and design team.
* Maintain oversight of commissioning progress, particularly for safety critical systems, and ensure compliance for BCAR.
* Snagging of M&E installations and recording on iPad App.
* BIM coordination of M&E services within the building across M&E contractors and CSA packages.
* Awareness of project-specific Design Responsibilities within the contract by MEP specialists and design Consultants.
Health and Safety:
* Ensure safety critical mechanical and electrical installations are fully functional before handing over a building to a Client.
* Deliver works in the safest manner possible, with the support of the Site Manager, H&S Advisor, and Contracts Manager, in accordance with legislative requirements.
Technical/Quality:
* Fully responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects from a time scale and commercial perspective.
* Ensuring that the project is delivered on time, snag-free, to the satisfaction of the Client.
* Have a good technical understanding of HVAC systems, fire alarm systems, lighting and emergency systems, LTHW systems, electrical distribution, access and maintenance requirements, and commissioning of integrated building systems.
What You Need:
* Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
* Previous Main Contractor experience is desirable.
* Flexibility to travel to various project sites.
* Clean driving license.
