A senior project engineer is sought for a 12-month contract in Cork. The role focuses on equipment qualification, process improvements, and maintenance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical projects from concept to completion, including design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and ensure objectives are met.
* Support the introduction of new products and processes, providing troubleshooting and hands-on production floor support.
* Develop and refine maintenance strategies, oversee spare parts inventory, and manage change control processes.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and participate in cross-functional investigations.
* Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, protocols, and SOPs.
* Coordinate with maintenance, project engineering teams, and external suppliers for equipment upgrades and modifications.
* Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company quality standards.
* Promote a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent hands-on experience.
* 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably within the biotechnology or aseptic pharmaceutical sectors.
* Proven expertise in project management within high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Experience with technology transfer, change control, and GDP-compliant processes is a plus.
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and document management systems.
* Ability to make data-driven decisions and work efficiently in fast-paced settings.
