What's the role?
As a Field / Sales Engineer, you will be working across the Dublin region, providing technical input and advice to our customers.
You'll be working closely with our sales team to maximise sales opportunities and win key applications with customers in this area.
This role focuses on relationship building with technical-oriented personas on our Focus Customer platform. You will find the intersection between customer needs and the Hilti offering to maximize our Value Proposition. Strategic thinking, soft skills, customer care, and technical competence are essential.

What does the role involve?
In the role of Field / Sales Engineer, you will provide engineering support and coverage to both consulting engineers and focused customers, securing specifications and providing valuable engineering service. No two days will be the same - you may work on-site one day and with the office technical team the next.
You will also provide technical assistance and training to the company’s personnel and customers to ensure high-quality engineering service. Good organizational skills are necessary to plan and prioritize your day effectively. You will also need to use our CRM system accurately on a daily basis.
Other duties include:
* Building relationships with key decision-makers in engineering departments.
* Delivering webinars, seminars, and hands-on sessions on our products, applications, and scope of work.
* Promoting our Hilti channels and services.
* Introducing Hilti innovations in hardware, software, design methods, approvals, and services to decision-makers.
* Ensuring quality and timely technical support from Hilti Engineering Competence Center.
* Encouraging consultants and contractors to specify Hilti products by default.
* Understanding the strategic needs of Focus Accounts.
* Promoting Hilti design software and overall engineering services.
* Supporting Account Managers in technical opportunities identified on the job site.

What you need is:
* A degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
* Knowledge of the construction industry, and the design and construction process.
* Previous experience in an engineering role (on-site/design office).
* Strong networking and business relationship development skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
