Role Overview:
Due to internal growth at Medserv, we are actively looking for a Patient Administrator to join our Remote Practice Management team based in our Athlone Office. You will be working closely with a Medical Secretary ensuring you are meeting and exceeding client expectations. On a daily basis you will be managing a high volume of calls (circa 50 100 communications) from patients, secretaries and other medical professionals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing calls from patients, secretaries, and other medical professionals
Resolving Customer Queries
Processing Payments
Issuing correspondence to patients
Scanning & Filing Sensitive Documents
Assisting with aspects of clinic management
Managing internal and external email queries
Working as part of a team
Dealing with ad-hoc duties as they arise
Requirements and Skills:
Strong communication and customer service skills
Exceptional attention to detail and time management
Previous experience in medical reception, administration, or customer service (e.g., hospitality/travel industry)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with experience handling phone enquiries
Familiarity with clinical systems (desirable but not essential)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Calm under pressure in a fast-paced medical setting
Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support the team as needed
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and quickly build rapport
Excellent telephone manner

Salary circa £28,100 - £28,500
