We have a new opportunity for a Site Manager to work with a leading building contractor on a new €20M healthcare project in South Dublin. The Site Manager will ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This project will have a full team on site including a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager (x2), Site Engineer (x2) and a Health & Safety Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all construction activities on site, ensuring that the project is progressing according to the agreed schedule and budget.
2. Monitor and control project costs, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure that the project is completed within budget.
3. Ensure that all work on site is carried out to the required quality standards and that all necessary health and safety measures are in place.
4. Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that they are delivering on time and to the required standards.
5. Liaise with the project team, including the client, architects, engineers, and consultants, to ensure that all project requirements are met.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily site reports, progress reports, and quality control reports.
7. Provide regular progress reports to the project team and senior management, highlighting any issues or risks that may impact the project schedule or budget.
8. Identify and resolve any problems or issues that arise on site, and escalate any major issues to senior management as required.
Requirements:
9. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Manager working on large-scale building projects.
10. Experienced working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors as a Site Manager.
11. Experienced supervising all trades from groundworks to handover.
12. Basic IT skills.
13. Full Driver’s License.
14. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
15. Proven ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
16. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
17. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
18. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
19. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
