Project Location: Galway, Ireland
Experience in Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor or Substation
Must hold either a EU Passport or Residency in Ireland
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality planning and scheduling support to the Project Manager.
2. Manage, mentor, and guide junior planners as required.
3. Review contract documentation to identify key scheduling and tracking requirements.
4. Develop a detailed construction schedule based on the high-level target schedule and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) provided by the Project Manager.
5. Assist in client schedule negotiations, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
6. Load the schedule with labour and metrics, incorporating hours and quantities received from the Commercial Team.
7. Develop and maintain trackers and reporting templates to monitor project progress.
8. Create a fully integrated construction schedule in collaboration with the Main Contractor and Project Manager.
9. Measure and track weekly progress and efficiency in consultation with the Site Team, formally validating this with the Commercial Team every 2–3 weeks.
10. Identify and highlight potential risks and roadblocks to the project team and Lead Planner on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications
1. 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying or strong trades background coupled with technical ability may be considered.
2. 5+ years’ experience / demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work.
3. Must be capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information.
4. Must be capable of coordinating the development of multiple project plans.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Project / P6 or Equivalent Planning Software, Microsoft Office tools – Excellent report writing skills.
