Job Title: Procurement and Supply Chain Manager (Property Services)
Overview: The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement and stores functions of our rapidly growing business, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods, plant, and subcontract services.
This role involves strategic supplier negotiations, cost control, supply chain management, and adherence to company policies and objectives.
The Procurement Manager collaborates closely with project teams to align procurement activities with business goals and operational requirements while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost savings, efficiency, and supply chain reliability.
* Effectively manage the Procurement and Stores units to meet company objectives, across regional depots.
* Management and coordination of our Stores Supervisors.
* Ensure all materials, goods, plant, and subcontract services are delivered to the specified standards within agreed time and cost budgets.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Oversee the buying function, ensuring pricing databases are maintained daily for accurate cost tracking.
* Provide technical guidance and negotiate pricing and credit requirements with customers and the supply chain.
* Forecast material usage and budgets, ensuring strategic procurement planning.
* Manage procurement administration, including record-keeping and reporting through our centralised stores software.
* Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and ensure adherence to the Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Coordinate quarterly physical stock takes, including summarizing and pricing within specified timescales.
* Monitor procurement reports to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with company standards.
* Provide the Accounts Department with monthly costing information for stock, plant, and transport operations.
* Negotiate and secure the most favourable terms with both new and existing suppliers.
Requirements:
* Degree-level education in a relevant field desirable.
* Proven commercial/contract experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience working in a commercial environment on complex bids and contracts.
* Experience with collaborative arrangements and partnering agreements (desirable).
