Job Description:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out routine laboratory testing and sampling. This includes verifying cleaning using microbiological swabbing and conducting Trichinella testing to ensure carcass quality.
Your duties will also involve communicating with customers to provide technical information, maintaining and updating the laboratory procedures manual, and ensuring daily tasks are completed and results are actioned where necessary.
In addition, you will review results records weekly, generate reports for the QA Manager and Veterinary Inspector, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and legislation. You will also assist in the management of the Food Safety & Quality Management System and ensure adherence to customer specifications.
Other responsibilities include implementing and maintaining HACCP and hygiene requirements, reviewing product and process development, and managing sanitation and cleaning operations. You will also assist in achieving and maintaining BRC standard, Bord Bia MPQAS, and retailer and customer standards through independent third-party factory accreditation.
