About the Role
We are working alongside an award-winning Actuarial & Consultancy Firm, operating across the UK & Ireland. The firm is seeking a skilled Pension Professional to fulfill the position of Governance Consultant and Scheme Secretary to large Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension schemes in Ireland.
The successful candidate will be a central figure in driving the continued success of the schemes, ensuring trustee work is delivered efficiently and effectively.
You will collaborate with experienced trustee boards, building strong, trusted relationships.
Your role will involve taking ownership of key actions, working with service providers and advisers to ensure high-quality work is delivered on time, and leading projects that help maintain the scheme's governance standards.

You will be expected to influence and manage key stakeholders to deliver results in line with trustee expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Take the initiative to ensure the smooth running of the scheme, initiating and managing projects.
* Act as the key liaison between the trustee board, service providers, and advisers.
* Build and maintain a close relationship with the trustee board.
* Become their trusted partner who makes things happen.
* Motivate and support the board to drive success for the scheme.
* Ensure alignment and high performance of the scheme's operation.
* Hold advisers and service providers accountable, challenge them when necessary, and ensure they meet high standards expected by the trustee board.
* Work alongside a talented and motivated team of senior consultants and analysts, sharing insights, solving complex challenges, and collectively driving client success.
* Nurture and mentor junior colleagues, fostering their professional development and giving them the tools and feedback they need to succeed.
* Be involved in new business initiatives, contributing to pitches, supporting marketing events, or helping to expand the range of services offered.
Qualities Required
* In-depth knowledge of pension governance, regulatory frameworks, and DB/DC schemes.
* A natural leader who excels at building and nurturing relationships.
* Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to drive projects forward, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands.
* Clear, concise, and persuasive writing and communication abilities.
* Experience in managing relationships, with a focus on maintaining trust and delivering value.
Requirements
* A relevant degree (Bachelors or Masters) or equivalent experience, with a professional qualification such as QFA, FLIA, or equivalent.
* A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
* Evidence of good English and maths.
* Technology proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant/similar tools.
