Orange Recruitment are sourcing a seasoned Facilities Engineer with expertise in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering. We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Facilities Engineer to join our clients team and oversee critical facility operations.
As a Senior Facilities Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our clients facilities. Drawing on your extensive experience and technical knowledge, you will lead projects, manage teams, and contribute to the long-term reliability and safety of their systems.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
* Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance management.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to maximize system reliability and efficiency.
* Manage facility upgrades, retrofits, and expansions, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational needs and support organizational goals.
* Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing innovative and effective solutions.
* Monitor and manage facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
* Prepare and present reports on facility performance, project progress, and system efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, with a strong focus on mechanical or electronic systems.
* In-depth knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and automation controls.
* Proven experience managing teams and leading complex technical projects.
* Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and energy efficiency principles.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an asset.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
