Transport & Plant Co-Ordinator, Bray

Principle Objective
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the purpose of this role is to support in-branch online business growth and the day to day management of in-branch logistics/route planning processes. This role will drive strong disciplines ensuring excellence in customer service are in place, consistency of standards for online orders and logistics. This will be achieved by working closely with the branch manager, colleagues in branch, transport providers and central support colleagues.
Knowledge & Experience
1. Construction industry knowledge desired but not essential.
2. Knowledge of building and related products desirable including load and weight for transport purposes.
3. IT literacy essential with the ability to handle analytical data
4. Previous experience in a Sales/Negotiation role desired.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
5. Ensure all orders placed both in store and online are picked and shipped / collected in line with our customer service standards
6. Route planning / route optimisation
7. Work closely with the branch manager and yard colleagues to drive pick times that exceed customer expectation
8. Management of online and logistics metrics including the follow up on customer queries.
9. Challenge underperformance of KPI’s, providing support where appropriate
10. Drive sales through great service standards
11. Liaise with central support colleagues
12. Ensure the online business is delivering sales and margin targets
13. Understand customer data and insights and deal with actions arising from reports
14. Work with the wider branch team to understand the root cause of missing items and assist them in developing plans to address
15. Management of 3rd party transport provider relationships including transport cost management.
16. Improve operational efficiencies through continuous improvement and review of processes and procedures.
17. Regular auditing of systems and processes to ensure procedures are being followed
