Base pay range
We are currently working with a well-renowned mechanical and electrical contractor based in the Dublin area. The company has a turnover in excess of €50 million and takes pride in developing their staff. They have a busy order book for the next two years and are looking to add an engineer to their team with a view to becoming a Project Manager. The role will involve working closely with the Project Manager in all aspects of running a job. The project they have in mind is a multimillion-euro mechanical package based in Dublin on a commercial project. The company has an impressive portfolio of projects in the healthcare, commercial, data centre, and industrial sectors.
About Your New Job
As a Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with supervisors, site managers, project managers, and tradespeople to ensure the timely and successful completion of all mechanical works. You will report into the Project Manager on this job. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily works from an engineering point of view, ensuring quality control, and managing the day-to-day operations on-site. Some of your duties will include:
* Develop a daily action plan that includes HSEQ.
* Assist Project team in expediting major equipment deliveries.
* Maintain a site diary.
* Attend/Chair internal meetings with sub-contractors.
* Ensure that all variations are picked up in conjunction with PM and QS.
* Ensure labour allocation sheets are being completed by sub-contractors.
What Skills & Requirements You Need
Candidates will hold a construction or mechanical engineering related degree. You will have experience working in a building services role for an M&E contractor, Main Contractor, or an M&E Consultancy. A good knowledge of building services is required for this role with a particular emphasis on HVAC.
What’s on Offer
The salary for this role is €50 - €60K. There is a benefits package that includes Pension and performance-related bonus.
