Commercial Banking International (“CBI”) is the team that covers subsidiaries of multinational corporates (MNC’s) as they look to grow their businesses outside of their head quartered location. The team has coverage in Europe, Middle East & Africa (“EMEA”), Asia Pacific, Latin America and Canada as well as within the US. Subsidiary coverage is led by an International Coverage Executive (“ICE”) who brings the local subject matter expertise whilst, partnering with coverage colleagues at the Head Quarter (HQ) level.
Job summary
Specifically, this role is based in Dublin, Ireland where you will be responsible for growing our Irish subsidiary book of global payments, foreign exchange (FX), liquidity management and trade finance business among clients & prospects of the Commercial Bank.
Key attributes of an ICE are; a team player able to function effectively as a member of a global sales team; ability to interact effectively with clients externally and internally with key partners like coverage teams in other locations, product, client service, implementations etc; proven track record of independently managing complex sales opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
The successful candidate will additionally be our CBI senior representative in location sitting at the Ireland Local Management Committee and in addition to their own portfolio will have oversight of all subsidiary business operating out of Ireland.
Job responsibilities
Developing regional or global payments & liquidity solutions for corporate clients working in partnership with US based relationship team and cross regional partners
Conducting sales activities, including market or segment strategy development, direct client calling, profiling targeted companies, creating proposals, making presentations and structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions. ICE performance is measured against a specific new business sales target.
Collaborating with the Commercial Banking management to create and implement appropriate business sales strategies for the segment. Represent our international capabilities both internally and externally in close collaboration with the head quarter (HQ) coverage team and cross regional partners.
Identifying opportunities for new products and services and better ways to effectively sell and deliver existing products. Providing sales input and the client perspective into product development, marketing initiatives and other related tasks.
Managing resources effectively and monitoring expenses incessantly. Continually look for ways to increase efficiency and improve profitability.
Promoting an effective control environment to evaluate, manage and conduct new and existing business by adhering to risk/control expectations, procedures and processes including but not limited to Compliance / Anti Money Laundering (AML) / Know Your Client (KYC).
Focus on supporting and developing junior talent within the team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Direct sales or relationship management experience in international treasury and/or banking
Deep knowledge of global payments, FX and liquidity management solutions
Demonstrated sales, communication, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to independently handle complex sales situations
Direct people management experience preferable
