Medforce are seeking an experienced and compassionate CORU registered Physiotherapist to join our client’s team in Gorey, County Wexford. Our client operated a 20-bedded hospital specialising in respite, transitional, and palliative care.
As a Physiotherapist in our client’s facility, you will play a key role in rehabilitation and intervention for stepdown patients—those transitioning from an acute hospital setting before returning home. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance mobility, independence, and overall well-being, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and develop individualised physiotherapy plans for patients in respite, transitional, and palliative care.
* Deliver interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life.
* Work collaboratively with nursing, occupational therapy, and medical teams to ensure holistic care.
* Support and educate patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation strategies.
* Contribute to discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition back home.
Requirements:
* Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with CORU.
* Experience working with older adults in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
* Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
