Quantity Surveyor - Project Cost Manager
We are seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager with proven experience in delivering infrastructure and/or building projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs from early-stage estimates through to final accounts, ensuring value for money and contractual compliance throughout.
This role offers hybrid work and can be based in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
* Advise on procurement strategies and administer contracts.
* Implement value engineering and risk management procedures.
* Monitor project costs and maintain financial reporting and forecasting.
* Support or lead negotiations, change control, and final account settlements.
* Engage with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure commercial performance.
* Contribute to the development of internal cost management processes and tools.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* 5-10 years post-graduate experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
* Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC, FIDIC, GCCC).
* Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Excel.
* Experience across building or infrastructure sectors (e.g., transport, utilities, residential).
* Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
