Bluebird Care Kildare, Laois & Offaly are currently recruiting 15 Healthcare Assistants across Kildare, Laois & Offaly.
Guided by Nurse Managers across 25 Irish offices, Bluebird Care has revolutionised Home Care delivery. Our Clinical Nurse Managers offer exceptional support and training to Healthcare Assistants, significantly enhancing our Clients' lives. We seek empathetic, reliable candidates for Healthcare Assistant roles.
In your role as Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Providing person-centred specialist care and support to clients with complex needs within the Community.
* Assessing client needs and implementing personalised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintaining a detailed Client Activity Journal in the client’s home.
* Building strong and enduring relationships with our clients and their families and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and care delivery.
* Conducting regular reviews and updates of care plans and responding to changes in client conditions effectively.
* Participating in ongoing Training programmes to enhance your skills and knowledge in advanced care practices.
The Care Assistant’s primary role is to deliver personal care and assistance to a client in his/her own home. Care Assistants are responsible for the implementation of the requirements of the client's care plan, perform identified care duties and promote client comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications and Experience - Completion of at least 2 modules:
* QQI Care Skills and QQI Care of the Older Person.
* A minimum of one year's experience in a healthcare setting.
* Possession of a clean Garda Vetting Certificate and, if applicable, an International Police Clearance Certificate.
* Willingness to undergo a medical examination to obtain a medical fitness certificate for work.
* Holding a driver’s license, owning transport, and being proficient in using Google Maps to locate client homes.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness.
* A good understanding of GDPR, especially its importance in working with the elderly.
* Proficiency in English - Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience working in the client’s home.
* Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
