The Sustainability and Circular Economy team are involved in helping clients and customers as they seek to decarbonise and meet regulatory requirements. This is a team of hardworking self-starters who support each other and collaborate for the wider success of DNV.
As an Inspector, you will be involved in the following activities:
Field Inspections and Assessments:
* Conduct site visits to assess compliance in line with relevant regulations, guidance, sustainability and circular economy principles.
* Inspect facilities, operations, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement in areas such as supply chain optimisation, waste reduction, energy and resource efficiency, and recycling initiatives.
* Collect data and document findings accurately to share with relevant stakeholders.
Reporting and Analysis:
* Prepare detailed reports summarizing inspection results, observations, and recommendations.
* Assist in analysing data to evaluate performance metrics.
Stakeholder Support:
* Work closely with clients, team members, and stakeholders to communicate findings and follow up actions.
* Provide feedback on compliance with relevant environmental standards and legislation.
Learning and Development:
* Attend in-depth training on relevant circular economy practices, sustainability frameworks, inspection techniques and regulatory compliance updates relating to the Solvents Regulations, Packaging Regulations, waste management regulations.

To be successful in this role you need to have:
* A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
* Experience working in the environmental sector.
* Previous experience in carrying out inspection or enforcement type duties.
* A detailed knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and a broad knowledge of all environmental and waste management legislation.
* Driving licence.
* A certified qualification in environmental inspection or auditing.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, thorough documentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally for site visits and inspections with overnight stays where required to a maximum of 2-3 days a week.
