Quantity Surveyor Job Description

The Role:
* Analysing construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements.
* Preparing enquiry documents, sourcing and obtaining material and subcontractor quotations, including final negotiations and placement of sub-contractor orders.
* Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure budgets are not exceeded.
* Completing monthly subcontractor valuations through to final account.
* Completing monthly valuations to PQS and recording all additional works items.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or related disciplines.
* Applicants with HND/HNC or strong construction-related experience will also be considered for the role.
* Experience in Estimating/Quantity Surveying roles within a Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 years.
* Articulate, proactive, with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills, comfortable working with minimum supervision.
* Ability to demonstrate initiative while working in a team environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
